Description of the limitation and why it is relevant to address
As a Developer I want a search bar in the MultiSelectField so that it easier to search large lists.
I think this is relevant for the VIKTOR platform because we regularly have large lists in our selection fields. A search bar makes selecting faster because you don’t have to scroll a large list.
Submitter proposed design (optional)
I think you need to insert a search bar above the first result but below the input field (so at the red line in the image below). Searching there limits the selectable options which you can then select. If you clear the search bar, you should see all items again. Selecting options in a filtered selection list should not clear the already selected items (maybe hidden due to the filter). That way, you should be able to select all items you need with multiple searches.
Current workarounds
Sort the list alphabetically so that manual searching is somewhat doable.
