Is it possible to access the Scia CrossSection Library i.e. for HEB230 sections etc, or do we need to create them ourselves using the numerical cross section feature?
This is currently not possible through our binding. You could indeed use a numerical cross section as a generic cross section (SDK Reference - SCIA Engineer | VIKTOR Documentation)
We have had a request before about creating L-shaped, U-shaped etc. cross sections, so they might become available in the future. This is not yet planned.

It would be very useful to have the library accessible. Calculation wise it does not make a difference but for the user it is difficult to check the model, both parameter wise as well as visually.
Thus i strongly support the feature to be added to the planning
