Description of the limitation

As a modeler I want to be able to easily send my Revit model to a VIKTOR app such that next steps in the workflow can use this model (for instance structural analyses)

I think this is relevant for the VIKTOR platform because often 3D models from Revit play an important role in an engineer workflow.

Current workaround

  • manually export model to IFC
  • manually upload IFC in VIKTOR app

downsides:

  • context switch necessary between 2 software programms
  • modelers needs to understand VIKTOR

We have built a prototype Revit plugin that enables modelers to push their model to a VIKTOR app.
