Hallo Daniel,
We have the same Problem, the Grasshopper script is running as you described. The Hide Rhino Compute Console is uncheck, but when i start the script no Console is showing up. How could we resolve this Problem?
Hi PVSyst!
Nice to see you working with Grasshopper!
Your local Rhino.Compute should show up when starting Grasshopper. This will probably need a full restart of Rhino.
Hopefully that helps.
I already tried it but the Console doesn´t start
Some things to check:
- The console opens behind Rhino/GH with a different icon, check if there really isn’t a rhino.compute console.
- Did you install via PackageManager properly? Try reinstalling it
If these fail; I’d recommend to open a thread on https://discourse.mcneel.com/ with the Hops tag; the Hops developers usually respond on there pretty quick.
If you do so, please link the thread because I’m very interested on what could cause this!
Thanks for your help rvandijk,
I installed now rhino 8 and now the rhino compute server is running.
The script runs and the rhino.3dm datei is generated but the json file is not updated and in the compute server are displayed 2 errors.
hi Marco,
From only this message it’s difficult to find the exact issue you’re facing. It would be useful to know a bit more about what you are trying and how the script looks like.
From the error message it seems you are missing an input, please take a look at our tutorial on how to build Grasshopper apps. Also make sure that the keys in your input_trees
match the hops inputs in your Grasshopper script. This is how Rhino.Compute matches your input dict with the inputs in Grasshopper.
Hi rvandijk,
In the first step we tried to build our own grasshopper app with viktor, but we had some issues with the connection from the input. So we tried out the grasshopper tutorial on your website. So we did the description step by step. When we run the app for the first time it also shows the geometry in Viktor. After that it doesn’t work anymore and the errors from the previous post are displayed in the Rhino Compute Server. Would you maybe have 10 minutes for a face time meeting?
Thanks alot cheers
