The release of the VIKTOR Desktop and a new alternative to integrate with ETABS and SAP2000 has brought much enthusiasm and feedback.
One of the feedback was that an engineer who already has a model open on screen cannot point an app at it, so they must save the model, upload it and rebuild the situation inside the app.
We have now released a feature that adds an explicit way to attach a session to an ETABS or SAP2000 instance the user already has running, so apps can act on the model in front of the engineer, whether that is to run a check, read results, or apply a change.
